are seeking other groups, organizations, and individuals who are committed
to similar goals and have expertise to offer. We are seeking specific
skills in a variety of areas such as Web development, accounting, research,
and volunteer coordination.
The positions below are for four to six week contract with stipends. All positions
are available now. Applicants must have their own laptop (any kind).
Summer 2008 Open Positions:
(1) Fund
Development
Successful applicant will help Springboard accomplish its mission to
build organizational capacity and expand
programming. Must have experience with analysis of opportunities
aligned to mission. Will pursue funding and partnerships and play
a lead
role in developing proposals. Will work closely with
the executive director on strategic planning. Interested applicants
should have practical writing skills. Experience with nonprofit fund raising
ideal. Successful intern will secure a short-term contract for $2,500
for a six-week internship. Flexible hours and dates negotiable.
(2) Communications: Web and Newsletter
We are seeking a creative and capable writer who is interested in our
mission. We are looking for someone who enjoys designing and writing,
and can generate a newsletter both in email and on the Web. Other
writing will include marketing
copy
and
Web site
content. Successful applicant will work with the executive director,
a graphic designer, our executive editor, and our marketing manager.
Short-term contract for $2,000 available for a
four-week internship.
Flexible hours and dates negotiable. Extension possible depending on
skills.
(3) Web Engineer
Springboard is developing a new program online and seeks Web engineering
technical expertise to help refine and execute the project. Not an average
Web site project, successful applicant will have had experience
with sophisticated Web 2.0 site development that includes financial transactions
and room for expansion. Successful intern will secure a short-term contract
for $3,000 for a six-week internship. Flexible hours and
dates negotiable.
(4) Project Manager for the new Springboard Social Innovation Forum
Springboard is launching a new initiative and
seeks a project manager to coordinate the further development of the program.
This is an excellent opportunity to manage and promote an exciting new
event in Portland, Oregon. Exhibit curation, theme development, coordinating
speakers, and designing activities are all part of the job. This position
is part-time over the next six months, possibly longer. Download
